I think it is time for a technobabble article about Propellerhead Reason. By reading different Q&A posts (Reddit, forums and so on) is that there is a lot on the subject about Realtek ASIO drivers and ASIO4ALL drivers. These subjects always come back. DirectX drivers are usually not really a subject matter but I am going to bring these on the table and discuss it. Why am I seeing a selection of brands? We are a family of brands, all committed to removing barriers to creativity. You’ll find the products you own from all of our brands in one place, streamlined to get you what you need, as fast as possible, with a single sign-on for all.

If you disagree with the rules, you’re always free to explain your thoughts and proposed alternative. Consider that ASIO is audio signal in-out, and midi is not audio but data. Your ASIO driver deals with your incoming and outgoing audio, when you're going usb for your midi you're not using it.
The only time it would come into play is once you've assigned a sound to the midi notes, the time it takes for the actual sound to come out of your speakers/headphones.here's hoping that made sense:/EDIT: totally misread the actual question haha, to echo other posts. Yes you might see an improvement but that'd be due to your interface's USB ports. I'm using an Akai EIE Pro right now and I get the same amount of latency (little to none) whether I go straight in to the mac usb ports or through it.
